I believe participating in the Natalie Ledwell's Ultimate Success Masterclass (I just began the 10th of 12 modules, and each Module lasts 7 days if you are consistent with your participation) has brought me to this point of being ready, willing and able to face and deal with the emotional clutter behind the clutter. Well the timing of Module 10 couldn't be more fitting.
She is having us make note of our thoughts throughout the day, specifically identifying the thoughts that are critical towards ourselves or others. Whoa! I've already noticed some patterns I'm not proud of and am very thankful they are being brought to my attention.
What a great opportunity to de-clutter habits of thought that do not serve me and have actually been detracting from my goals: spiritual, character, family, business, financial, health, etc....
She wisely points out that all the consistent effort we've been putting into intentionally choosing empowering thoughts, images to visualize and affirmations to utter, is undermined and contradicted if our casual/default inner dialogue is full of critical thoughts towards others and ourselves.
I'm excited to be free from this draining mental clutter, feel curious about what it will be like to be free of it, anticipating much good to come from releasing it and also resolved to combat a long-standing habit.
Thanks to God for His kind, wise and amazing providence! I appreciate so much how He provides, guides and patiently works with me. He is the source of all good gifts and true wisdom. And He already told me to, "Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life" in Proverbs 4:23 and "whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." Philippine 4:8
It's about what we are dwelling on, not about completely blocking out any legitimate constructive criticism or discernment that needs to be made for course correction.
